Rose Ware – Its a privilege to help someone realize the personal dream of home ownership.
Rose remembers the day in 1960 when she and her family left the East Coast in a blizzard to arrive in sunny Los Angeles, California. It was like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. We left in a cold grey blizzard and landed in LAX on a warm technicolor January day That’s the day I fell in love with Los Angeles. With LA’s beaches, mountains, diverse communities and unique architecture it’s been an ongoing love affair ever since. So, when she chose to start a career in real estate, Rose knew that selling the benefits of owning real estate in Los Angeles would come naturally.
After 20 years in the broadcast television and music industries she decided to use her sales, marketing and public relations experience to begin a career in real estate. Since beginning in 1986, she has been an award winning, top producing agent, consistently honored in the Director’s, President’s and Chairman’s Circles placing her in the Top 1% of real estate agents nationwide. Her dedication and commitment to her clients has earned her their respect, loyalty and trust. In each transaction I listen to what my client wants from the situation and try to move them forward towards a solution. My goal is to make the process a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone involved.
Rose has lived in the Hollywood Hills since 1970. She discovered the Hollywood Dell by accident but knew she was home. Where else can you find such a natural setting and a Lake-like reservoir that you can hike around and still be on Hollywood and Vine in 5 minutes. She settled in Beachwood Canyon where she has lived for over 15 years and where she has served on the board of the Hollywoodland Homeowners Association for more than 6 years. Beachwood Canyon is like Mayberry. I go down to the market or cafe and always run into one of my neighbors or friends. I half expect to see Floyd the Barber. In a tech filled world of e-mails and text messages, it’s refreshing to have a little patch of calm in the city.
Rose loves the community of Hollywoodland and contributes her time and activism to their special events and fundraising and at various times for the Hollywood Heights Association, Hollywood Dell Association, the Hillside Federation, Hollywood Heritage Foundation and the Lake Hollywood Homeowners Association.
She also believes that a community is measured not only by its growth but how it helps others. Rose supports HCC Hollywood Crisis Center (formerly TASLA), a local organization that helps Hollywood’s homeless and young runaways find work and shelter.

Terry Canfield Schmidt – It’s easy to be successful when you love what you’re doing.
After transferring from San Francisco to Los Angeles over 23 years ago, Terry moved to Lake Hollywood Estates. Living in an area overlooking the Lake Hollywood reservoir with a backdrop of mountains and the Hollywood sign was her idea of paradise. Her appreciation of and pride in her community compelled her to become involved in the Lake Hollywood Homeowners Association where she was president for several years. She also served on the Executive Board for the Hollywood Arts Council and was a parent volunteer at Valley View Elementary School. Having raised her sons in the community (who are now college graduates), she has an appreciation and knowledge of the benefits of living in the Hollywood Hills. Terry has recently become involved as a volunteer and fundraiser with Habitat for Humanity, which she says was a natural transition from her day job of finding her clients their Dream Home. With Habitat she is able to help a family Make their Dream of Home ownership become a reality. She believes that giving back to the community is the ultimate reward.
